Privacy Policy

Fiskos is built so that your private life stays private. The short version: we don't collect anything, because there's nowhere for it to go. Fiskos has no servers and no accounts — your data lives only on your own devices and travels directly, end-to-end encrypted, to the people you pair with.

This policy explains that in full.

Who we are

Fiskos ("the app") is a peer-to-peer messaging and sharing app. It is operated by the Fiskos developer ("we"). Contact: alisarac@gmail.com.

What we collect

Nothing. Fiskos does not have a backend server, and we never receive your data. Specifically:

• No account, no sign-up, no phone number, no email. You just choose a display name, stored on your device.
• No analytics, no advertising, no trackers, no third-party marketing SDKs. The app does not phone home.
• No data is sent to us or to any third party.

Where your data lives

Everything you create or receive in Fiskos — messages, photos, files, voice messages, lists, expenses, calendar events, notes, locations — is stored only on your device, encrypted at rest. It is shared only directly with the devices you have paired with, over your local network or a direct Wi-Fi connection, protected with end-to-end encryption. There is no server in the middle, so there is nothing for us — or anyone else — to read, hand over, or leak.

Pairing

To connect two devices you exchange a code (by QR, by tapping a nearby device, or directly phone-to-phone) and confirm a safety-number emoji. This exchange happens directly between your devices. We are not involved and receive no record of it.

Permissions we ask for, and why

Fiskos only requests permissions needed for features you choose to use. They are used on your device and the resulting data is not collected by us:

• Camera — to scan a pairing QR code, and to send photos/videos.
• Microphone — for voice messages and voice/video calls.
• Location — only if you choose to share your location with a paired person, or use the "find each other" radar. Your location is sent directly to that person, end-to-end encrypted, and never to us.
• Nearby devices / Wi-Fi state / Wi-Fi Direct — to discover and connect to nearby paired devices, including with no internet.
• Notifications — to alert you to new messages and calls.
• Photos / storage — to attach files and save received media you choose to keep.

You can revoke any of these in your device settings; the related feature simply stops working.

Calls

Voice and video calls connect your devices directly (peer-to-peer) on your local network. Call audio and video are not routed through, or recorded by, any Fiskos server — there isn't one.

Children

Fiskos is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect data from anyone. Because we collect no data at all, no personal information from children is gathered.

Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives only on your devices, you control it. Delete messages or content in the app, or uninstall Fiskos, and the associated data on that device is removed. We hold nothing to delete on our side.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
