Trunnion
Turn the bezel, tilt the barrel, read the gravity and hit the target.
A trunnion is the pin a cannon's barrel pivots on. Your watch's bezel is that pin.
Maker's note
The fourth watch game, and this time the question was physics: how do you make gravity felt on a round screen? I thought of Worms, which I loved years ago — setting the angle and the power, watching the shell arc, missing, and correcting the next shot against the miss. Does that loop fit on a watch?
It does, because the bezel behaves exactly like a cannon's pin: turn it and the barrel tilts. Press and hold to charge. The shell does not travel straight; the planet pulls on it the whole way and the path bends. You lob the near ship and swing the far one right around the planet.
What I really took from Worms is that the miss is the lesson. Every shot you miss stays on screen; those faint orbits show where it went, and you correct the next one against them. Six worlds, six gravities: on Ice at 0.55 g the shell floats, on Coal at 1.60 g the same shot slams down.
What it does
On top of a small planet
You are a defence battery. Ships are spread around the planet, some ahead of you, some behind. Turn the bezel to set the angle, press and hold to charge. The charge reverses at the top, so if you have given it too much you can take it back before you let go.
The miss is the teacher
Every miss stays on screen. Those faint orbits are the game's teacher: you see where the last shot went and correct the next one against it.
Level by level
The first level gives you two ships and plenty of shells, so learning the orbit does not punish you. Later levels add ships, shrink them and scatter them higher, while your shell allowance tightens. There is no final level. A checkpoint every five levels, remembered between sessions.
Six worlds, six gravities
On Ice it is 0.55 g; on Coal, 1.60 g. The gravity is written across the middle of the planet and you aim against that number. Every world has its own battery, target and projectile: gun turret, mortar, railgun, coilgun; station, drone, fighter, freighter. Some worlds are spare and abstract, others illustrated.
Requirements
Requires a Wear OS watch with a rotating bezel or a rotating crown. The game is played entirely with that input and will not work on touch-only watches.
