Cargo Call
Slide blocks out through the right door. 400 offline logic puzzle levels.
The job is not to clear what you can. It's to clear what's called.
Maker's note
Like Damga, a game of the kind my wife likes. This time I wanted the visual side as polished and as cute as I could make it: crates, doors, chains, the manifest — all from one hand, all of it something you want to touch.
The levels came by an unusual route too. Games like this usually build the board while you play: endless levels, but no guarantee that any of them is good, or even solvable. In Cargo Call the generator ran outside the game, not inside it. Boards were generated, each one solved from end to end, the good ones kept, and 400 of them shipped as fixed levels.
The cost is that the levels are not endless. What you get in return is never meeting a board that cannot be finished, and difficulty that comes from the board itself: even the clock is set from each board's own measured solution. The stopwatch is pressure, not a shop.
What it does
The manifest
A board packed with crates, doors around the edge, and a running order that names which crate leaves next and by which door. The called crate is usually at the bottom of the heap with three others on top, and those have to go somewhere too. Finding the first move often means working four layers back.
400 levels, every one played through
Each board was built offline and solved from end to end before it was chosen. You will never meet a board that cannot be finished; it is measured, not hoped for. 40 board shapes: courtyards, aisles, bastions, necks, rings.
Lashed and chained crates
A lashed crate never moves; it ships where it stands, when it's called. A chained pair can't stray far from each other, and the strap sags by exactly how much slack is left, so the rule tells you itself.
A clock, but not an enemy
Every board's timer comes from measuring its own solution. The difficulty is in the board, not the stopwatch.
Nothing you need is for sale
Undo, hint, defer the call, open an extra bay: all paid for with coins you earn by playing. Watch a short video for coins if you want them; if you never ask, you never see one. Time and second chances are not sold. A single one-off purchase removes the adverts.
